Baytree National Bank & Trust Company is the spearhead company for a family of financial service companies.
Baytree was founded in 2000 by Howard D. Adams with the concepts of high service and values in mind. He selected a team to develop a better bank and expanded services from the bank to a series of sister companies.
Currently, there are three companies in the Baytree family: Baytree National Bank & Trust Company, Baytree Leasing Company and Baytree Lending Company. Please select from the menu to learn about these Baytree Companies.
Baytree National Bank & Trust Company is a National bank with FDIC insurance. The bank is regulated by the OCC (Office of the Comptroller of the Currency), the Federal Reserve Bank, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). The bank is privately held and is run by a highly regarded local Board of Directors. Baytree National Bank & Trust Company is the only locally owned and managed bank left in Lake Forest, Illinois . The bank last quarter had over 225 million in assets.
TEMPORARY LIQUIDITY GUARANTEE PROGRAM
Baytree National Bank & Trust Co. has elected to participate in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under the program, through June 30, 2010, all non-interest bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.
On October 3, 2008, FDIC deposit insurance temporarily increased from $100,000 to $250,000
per depositor through December 31, 2013. On May 20, 2009, President Barack Obama signed the Helping Families Save Their Homes Act, which extends the temporary increase in the standard maximum deposit insurance amount (SMDIA) to $250,000 per depositor through December 31, 2013. This extension of the temporary $250,000 coverage limit became effective immediately upon the President's signature. The legislation provides that the SMDIA will return to $100,000 on January 1, 2014.

The bank operates from three locations in Lake Forest and Lake Bluff, Illinois, and offers of full range of personal and commercial banking products. Using the latest in technology and product expansion, including Internet Banking with Bill Pay features, Digital Deposit and Debit Cards, allows Baytree to have the same product choices but with better banking service.
